The Trust has chosen to remain as a Local Medium sized Trust operating across the Black Country local authorities. We believe in “earned autonomy” for our Academies with the stronger Academies with a track record of improvement supporting and sharing good practice with our weaker academies to ensure all the academies within our family are at least Good and have a clear process for improving educational outcomes.
All of our current academies can be accessed within a one-hour drive of one another. We aim to keep it this way and to grow the Trust slowly and in a way that always provides the highest level of challenge and support.
We are passionately committed to creating partnerships that make the best use of technology and are innovative. To this extent being part of our family means our academies will work with SLL, Microsoft, Tute, Whole Education alongside having access to the Shireland Teaching School Alliance and our Research School. We see partners in research and development as being central to our work to help break down barriers to learning and accelerate student progression.
