Tameside Primary Academy, in Wednesbury, joined Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust in October 2018. The three-form entry primary academy was graded good in all areas by Ofsted in March 2023, including outstanding for Personal Development and Early Years provision.
The Academy celebrated its best results since joining the Trust in 2022, where pupils exceeded Sandwell and national figures in every indicator in EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Keys Stage 2 for reading, writing and mathematics.
The school has a strong, inclusive ethos and aims to create a caring atmosphere where every child feels safe, so that they can make good progress and achieve well in all that they set out to do.
